A few weeks ago we decided it was time. Time to eat out for the first time since the trio came home! Not only eat out, but take all THREE with us as well! We loaded up the car and headed to the first place that came to mind! South Center! Both Phil and I enjoy the food at Rainforest Cafe and we knew the babies would like to watch and listen to all that goes on around them! The babies had a blast! They were fairly well behaved for the whole adventure and they even ate table food! Katelynn ate the equivalent of an entire fajita. Ethan ate a few bites of this and that (probably a whole packet of oyster crackers!) and Melissa had a nibble of cracker and cheese from pizza. All drank from their sippy cups happily and enjoyed the evening. We were even greeted by the Rainforest Frog! We tried to get a picture of all 3 and the frog but Melissa was so enamored by the frog that she didn't ever turn around for the camera! Overall our first experience at a sit down restaurant with the trio was a success so we decided to do it again!

Restaurant Rendevous
Sometimes you just need to get out of the house and away from the mundane norm (even with triplets!)

Last night on our way home from Portland, we stopped off at BJ's pizza with the trio. Aside from a few onlookers and "whoa triplets" comments, which we are getting very used to, this was a fairly event free meal. The restaurant manager kept talking to us and was very impressed with how well behaved they were. The only difference last night from our first experience was Melissa's vocals! She decided that screaming with glee in the middle of dinner was so much fun and she continued to do it throughout the meal. She was trying to engage the baby sitting at the table behind us and we did notice a little girl at another table tried to get in on it and got herself in trouble. So with the occasional "Shhh...Melissa"...this was also a success!

How awesome that they cooperated and were so well behaved! I haven't been in years but from what I remember, the Rainforest Cafe is the PERFECT place for growing and developing babies - especially preemies!
