When asked to share my thoughts surrounding Kangaroo Care, my head and heart floods with emotions. This is my flashback Friday moment. It’s not just one moment! It’s many moments during the NICU journey. It’s something I cherished each time I visited the NICU and something I did with my babies every chance I got. During the journey Phil and I had numerous opportunities to do K-care with the trio and during one special visit I was given the chance to do K-care with 2 of the triplets at once! At the time Melissa was across the room and attached to way too many wires and tubes to make it possible for all 3 at once. When I was asked for the first time to do Kangaroo care I was apprehensive about holding such a tiny baby. They were all hooked up to so many tubes, wires and monitors. Would I hurt them by holding them? How tight do I hang on so I don't drop them? But, I don't want to hold on so tight that I hurt them.

Such a special moment! You kangarooed with 2? That's amazing. I never had that experience, it was such a big deal to hold one at first that it never crossed my mind. Can't wait to read more.
