Weekend Waves...

Yesterday marked exactly 1 year of blogging for the Pitkin Trio! We've shared many happy, hard and hopeful moments with our readers! When we started blogging a year ago, our first post was our first official adventure with the trio. It was somewhat of a celebration day for us. It was much more of an adventure than we had planned as you might recall!

Well, yesterday started out as an ordinary day with the trio. A nice hearty breakfast filled with butter and all the good fattening things we can find! We went out to breakfast that is :) Mommy and Daddy were tired after a long week of work! After breakfast we stopped at the store for a couple things and then we decided to go home and let the dog out and regroup for the day.  From there the adventure began!

With no time limit on our mind Mommy and Daddy gathered items like Sunglasses, towels, blankets, swim suits and other sun items.  We were in search of someplace sunny and warm! We ended up driving and driving and driving and finally we found it! THE BEACH! Anyone remember what happend last year at the beach? Yea, a year ago yesterday we were at the beach too! Without even knowing it we marked summer 2012 and 2013 with the beach on the exact same day!

While last year didn't go as we had planned, this year was much better! We had a great time yesterday digging in the sand, playing in the surf and eating ice cream! Mommy and Daddy are getting better at these weekend impromptu trips! By the end of the day we were all very tired and very sandy! We had to take a bath when we got back home, even though it was late! We didn't mind too much! We love the bath! :)

All in all it was a great way to celebrate 1 year of blogging, 2 years of adventures (good and bad) with the trio and the beginning to a new summer with new possibilities and 1 item crossed off our bucket list to eat ice cream at Long Beach! We're sure before summer is over, we'll be back on the beach enjoying the sand between our toes!
