20 months: An overdue review!

The trio has now been amazing this world for 20 months! They have accomplished so much in such a short time! They bring new surprises everyday! What a blessing and what a ride it has been! This past month brought good and bad.  Some of the bad included:

• Our first illnesses of the season complete with fevers and trips to the pediatrician and many sleepless nights on the phone with the nurses.
• A no weight gain appointment for the girls where the doctor shared concerns that Katelynn has only gained an ounce in 3 months and Melissa while gaining a few ounces hasn't gained enough and continues to spit up at least a few times per week. This appointment came with a referral to GI for at least Katelynn and possibly Melissa.  Hopeful for good news on February 1st. 
• Ethan started waking multiple times per night with his night terrors again

Some of the good has included:

• Graduating from Occupational therapy with 3 walking toddlers who are all also eating solid food! 
• Katelynn's hair is now long enough to put pigtails in! (Melissa thinks hers is too!)
• Celebrating our 2nd Christmas! It was exciting to watch as the trio was so aware this year of everything going on around them! They were able to enjoy zoolights, Christmas parties with family, baking cookies, photos with our buddy Jace and Christmas Eve Mass! Check us out in the picture below! If you look close you can see a comparison from last year to this year! We sure have grown up!
• Graduating from our infant carseats to big toddler seats! We can now see the world when we go for drives with Mommy and Daddy!
• We got a new Nanny that started this week! We think she's pretty awesome! :)

Some of our milestones include:

• saying "up" "cheese" "go" "miss (this is what everyone calls Melissa)"
• walking with a backpack leash in public
• more teeth
• napping in our crib
• sitting in the bath without the bathtub ring
• throwing a ball
• drinking from regular cups with some success

 This month we also enjoyed a visit from one of our long time friends who has seen us through all the bad times with the trio and all the good too! She always encourages Mommy and Daddy and let's them know what a good job they do with us and she always compliments us on all our hard work as we continue to fight all the odds stacked against us! We are enjoying life to the fullest and continue to thrive! We are constantly impressing those around us! We can't wait to see what the next month holds for us! Life is an adventure!
