Today we are thankful for the multitude resources available to premature babies and their parents. While we were all in the NICU, mommy and daddy received extra medical coverage for us to help offset the bills for our NICU stay. Mommy was given a pump to use while we were all in the NICU so she could provide our milk to us! We have been so blessed to receive WIC services since we were discharged from the NICU. We are also fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with a couple feeding therapists who have helped us work on our aversions and our ability to suck, swallow and breathe!
We are now blessed to be working with a fabulous Occupational Therapist who has helped us develop key skills such as sitting, crawling and walking and also our feeding issues! There are so many resources available to parents and preemies! We are forever grateful to have found these services!
