Time

Today the Trio is 16 months old! In honor of this milestone they wrote a post about the passage of time.


Time: 

That word means so many things for a preemie family

• It's TIME: These were the words Mommy and Daddy heard the morning the trio was born, 3 months too soon at just 28 weeks gestation, tiny and frail. Although not enough time in the womb, the NICU gave us TIME and the chance to survive. 

• Give them TIME: Words Mommy and Daddy often heard in the NICU as the trio learned, developed and grew.

• It's not TIME yet:  It was hard to wait for the right time to come home.  As we waited for the day we would come home, months, days, hours, minutes and agonizing seconds passed.  

• TIME heals:  Yes Time does heal.  Time can heal a sick baby. Time makes the memories fade from mind, but etch them deeply in our hearts. Time Mommy and Daddy also needed to heal and develop friendships that are like family!
   
• TIME passes quickly and in the blink of an eye 3 little preemies have become strong, healthy, thriving 16 month old babies! 

 The trio wanted to share their growth over the past several months! The picture below is our first doctors appointment all together and then recently we visited the doctor again! Look at the progress we have made! These pictures really only span about 10 months of time, but we have come a long way in a year!
