Due Date

August 6, 2011 a day of celebration.  This is the day the babies should have been born (Not 3 months early!)  Many parents talk about guilt that their baby was born early, some talk about grieving for not making it to full term. 

I am choosing for myself to take a different perspective about having 3 premature babies.  My perspective is joy! Joy in that I got 3 EXTRA months with them to watch them grow! Joy in that while the journey was hard, we as a family came together and became stronger because of the fight our babies were waging in the NICU! I choose Joy. Joy in making new friends on the journey!

I won't tell you that the journey has been easy and there haven't been days of fear, anxiety and many other emotions but the JOY we have had this past year out weighs anything we've ever experienced.
